MJMC (Masters in Journalism and Mass Communication): This is a two-year postgraduate degree programme in Journalism and Mass Communication that involves rigorous theory and practical work along with a research project. Graduate in any discipline/second class Master’s degree/second class graduate with Diploma in Journalism are eligible for entrance test in the subject. The number of seats is 7.

Besides MJMC, the following programs are also offered by the department:

Certificate Course in French: This is a one-year course for those willing to learn French. Graduates in any discipline can apply. The classes are held in the evening.

Diploma in French: This one-year programme is a higher course in French for graduates in any discipline who have also done a one-year certificate course in French or equivalent from a recognized university/institute.

Certificate Course in Interactive Skills and Personality Enhancement: This is a one-semester course for the students who are in their pre-final or final undergraduate year and beyond (with a minimum of 50% marks). The highlights of the course are deeply interactive experiential learning sessions on Self esteem, Public Speaking, Attitude tune up, Effective Communication, Leadership and Team Building, Creative and Critical Thinking, Power Dressing, Stress and Time Management, Interview Skills, Goal Setting etc. The classes are held in the evening.
